Abstract

The topic of motivation is one of the most important and interesting topics in psychology for researchers in psychology, especially sports psychology, as every behavior has a motive behind it, that is, behind it lie certain motivational forces. In the sports field, stimulating sports motivation urges the athlete to exert the effort and energy necessary to learn and train sports skills with the aim of mastering them. Motivation in the sports field is defined as the athlete’s willingness to exert effort in order to achieve a specific goal, and considering that an individual’s behavior does not result from a single motive, it is often the result of several overlapping and multiple motives. The motives associated with sports activity are characterized by their multiplicity due to the multiplicity of types of sports activity and the multiplicity of goals that can be achieved. Achieved through exercise. Given the extreme importance of the concept of motivation, we decided to address it as a psychological determinant in the sports field through this research paper.
