The impact of physical activity on the mental and physical health of overweight children

Abstract

Obesity has become a modern epedemic, with recent studies showing a frightening increase in childhood obesity. According to the world Health Organisation, there are currently 124 million obese  children worldwide.

       This effects their health and sbjects them to  psychological pressures and anxities. Over weight children often suffer from low self-esteen and feeling of shame due to societal criticism of their bodies.

       Consequently, sports have become crucial for these children facing health challenges. Sports play a role in improving both physical and mental health byreducing feeling of isolation, and building positive relationships with others. Sports also help build the character of over weight children by regulating their emotions and instilling self-confidence, this contributes to improving his overell health and personal hapiness.
