Analysis of Terms Used in Sports Discourse - Examples of Arab Sports Newspapers

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal the nature of the terminology used in the sports discourse related to the headlines of Arab sports newspapers in conjunction with the 2021 Arab Cup tournament by presenting different models and samples of commonly used terms and words for semantics analysis according to the theory of semantic fields. Terminology is the key to science and knowledge used to express different concepts and multiple purposes Sports rhetoric is an influential practice with its various creative mechanisms and linguistic methods, This study, after classifying and analysing the terms elected, seeks to illustrate the most important indicative fields of mathematical discourse. s role in shaping and transmitting sporting events in a way that attracts and influences the public; This reflects the image of the sporting event in the recipient's mind, highlighting the importance of using language intelligently in the press and the media.
