Abstract

Abstract:

This study examines the impact of sports on ancient Arabic literature, specifically poetry, as a distinct and effective model. It reflects the interactions between poetry and sports, as the latter plays a crucial role in the poetic culture of that era. The results show how the different forms of sports in ancient Arabic poetry—physical, intellectual, and spiritual—helped it become a part of the cultural identity of ancient Arabs. The study finally suggests integrating sports literature into contemporary Arab cultural interests and strengthening the relationship between literature and sports.
