Abstract

The integration of the disabled in general and the mobility impaired in particular into society requires many efforts in all fields, especially to achieve their psychosocial adaptation. The psychotherapy used in our study may contribute to achieving this, which included a quasi-experimental study on a group of 12 people with motor disabilities by applying a group therapy program based on cognitive behavioral principles, where to confirm its effectiveness, the psychosocial adaptation scale of Ghabtawi was applied before and after applying the therapeutic program. After applying the cognitive behavioral program, we saw differences in the study group in the level of psychosocial adaptation by modifying distorted thoughts about themselves, their disability, and their surroundings.
