Abstract

 

Abstract:

 The current research aims to study football players through the concept of (proactive aggression) and (leadership personality), which are among the important topics in psychology, physical education, and sports sciences. Proactive aggression refers to the desire to achieve another goal and is calm, calculated, and simply a means to achieve another goal or It refers to intentional actions that are directed towards achieving the desired goals by planning them, while the leadership personality is based on giving a goal and meaningful guidance to the efforts, and causing the desired effort to be exerted to achieve the goal. The researcher believes that these two variables and the relationship between them are important topics in the lives of players. Football, which requires investigation and scientific research, and based on what was mentioned, the problem of the current research is summed up in answering the following question: What is the correlation between proactive aggression and leadership personality among football players? In order to achieve the above goals, the current research aims to identify :

  • Proactive aggression among football players.
  • Leadership personality among football players.
  • The correlation between proactive aggression and leadership personality among football players.

 Therefore, the researcher adopted the descriptive, correlational approach as the most appropriate method for the current research. The researcher selected a sample of The number of football players consisted of (355) players distributed between the northern and southern regions of the governorate, with ages ranging from (13 – 21), in a simple random manner. The researcher applied the proactive aggression scale that he built according to the model of Dodge and his colleagues 1994, and the final form consisted of (12) items. He also The researcher built a leadership personality scale according to the theory of the great man Francis Galton in 1879, and its final form consisted of (18) items. After procedures and the application of statistical methods, the validity of the scale was verified by apparent validity and construct validity indicators, while its stability was inferred by retesting and the Cronbach test, as it reached the scale Proactive aggression by the retest method (0.71) and the Cronbach method (0.73), as well as leadership personality, which reached (0.66) by the retest method and (0.72) by the Cronbach method.

After analyzing the data collected from the sample of the Kurds of the Foot with the (SPSS) program, the results indicated:

1- Football players are characterized by proactive aggression.

2- Football players are characterized by the leadership personality.

3- The existence of a statistically significant relationship between each of the proactive aggression with the leadership personality.
