Using a device designed with a tool to develop the explosive strength of the arms for the (7-meter) shooting skill for third-grade handball students

Abstract

This research aims to identify the level of explosive power among third-grade students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/University of Baghdad and to identify the significance of differences in degrees of explosive power according to the variable (7-meter shooting skill) and to identify statistically significant differences between those with high 7-meter shooting skill. The research sample is third-grade students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/University of Baghdad. For the academic year 2023-2024 AD, the researchers designed a device to measure the explosive power of the arms with the use of a tool to develop explosive power, and a set of physical exercises were applied using a locally manufactured tool on a sample of (338) students, where they were deliberately selected and (20) students were selected and randomly divided into an experimental group of (10) and a control group of (10). As for the objectives of the research, the researchers concluded that the third-grade students at the College of Education and Sports Sciences / University of Baghdad were clear in the rate of development in the experimental group.

And achieving the second goal when using a tool that contains a set of exercises and had an important role in developing and developing the explosive power of the arms.

As for the recommendations, they were:

- Researchers should conduct more than one study to develop the physical abilities of the arms and legs for different samples of students and find appropriate solutions for those who suffer from weakness in their physical abilities in general and especially the explosive ability of the arms
