In Iraqi theatrical texts, color is used as a semantic material and part of the dramatic symbolism of the scene. For example, black is used to represent grief and despair, red to express love and passion, green to express life and hope. The color can also be used to distinguish characters in the play and put forward thoughts, beliefs and psychological situations, where different colors can be used to represent different characters, such as the use of black to represent evil characters, and white to represent pure and kind characters.

Furthermore, color can be used to represent space and time in the play. For example, red can be used to represent sunset and blue to represent night. The role of color in the play is not only semantic, it can also be used to achieve visual and aesthetic effects in the play, as it can be used to give an atmosphere and artistic touches to the theatrical show. Color has become different aspects that concern themselves with the formation of man's psychological state, environment, connotations and hermeneutic and iconic symbols.

Keywords: icon, color, connotation, interpretation.

.
أ.م.د. منتهى طارق حسين المهناوي Copyright (c) 2023 Wisdom Journal For Studies & Research 2023-03-30 2023-03-30 3 01 47 59 10.55165/wjfsar.v3i01.176 Phonological difference between Arabic language and Kazakh language: A Contrastive Study https://uojawjournals.education/index.php/jwrs/article/view/172
This research is one of the researches which Related to contrastive linguistic, this science, which is based on a practical procedure for comparing the systems of two or more languages.

To limit the similarities and differences between them, and that depends on an analysis of each of the two systems under comparison based on the descriptive rather than the historical method.
