This study aimed to find out the reality of psychoanalytic therapy in our society in terms of its prevalence, its effectiveness from the point of view of psychologists and to find out if there are differences in its use based on the sex of the specialist, the duration of his professional experience and the quality of his academic training (classic or LMD). We followed the field research methodology, using the interview and questionnaire. This study concluded that there is a high prevalence level in the use of psychoanalytic therapy in our society, which has a high effectiveness from the point of view of the specialist and there are no differences in its use based on the sex of the specialist, the duration of his professional experience and the quality of his academic training.
