Abstract

research, entitled (Study of Texts from the Umayyad Poetic Heritage - Omar Ibn Abi Rabi’ah’s Story in Ghazal: A Stylistic Study), studies the poem of the Umayyad ghazal poet Omar Ibn Abi Rabi’ah according to the stylistic approach, at four levels, namely: the phonetic level, the compositional level, and the pictorial level. The study was keen on the actual application of the text while inferring from criticism books some of the opinions reached by the researcher. The research reached some results that indicate the high artistic value of this poem on the one hand, and the importance of studying our heritage with modern methods to uncover the hidden treasures in it.
