تبحث هذه الدراسة مسار العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين جمهورية المانيا الاتحادية والجمهورية العراقية ما بين عامي(١٩٦٣-١٩٦٥)، والتي تحددت بداياتها منذ تسنم لودفيغ ايرهارد منصب المستشار لجمهورية المانيا الاتحادية في ١٧ تشرين الاول عام ١٩٦٣، ولغاية اعلان الحكومة العراقية قرارها بقطع العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع بون في ١٢ أيار عام ١٩٦٥ كردة فعل على اعتراف المانيا الاتحادية بإسرائيل، وضمن اطار التنسيق العربي في مواجهة السياسة الالمانية. لقد اظهرت هذه الدراسة ان إسرائيل استحوذت على اهتمام السياسة الخارجية الالمانية على حساب علاقاتها مع الدول العربية.
