Abstract

This research paper aims to discuss the investment of the mother tongue in teaching Arabic, especially in teaching the rhetoric, which is a new element for the students of first year middle school. It examines the effectiveness of this approach in enhancing the understanding and comprehension of students regarding various rhetorical techniques. This approach allows the teacher to connect students to their linguistic reality and motivates them to engage in learning.

The study concludes that the mother tongue contains structural patterns that align with Arabic rhetoric, as evident in our popular proverbs. Incorporating these proverbs in teaching rhetoric content creates an interactive and enjoyable learning environment, effectively eliminating boredom and transforming students into active participants in the educational process.
