Abstract

         This study aims to take stock of the various international charters and agreements that guarantee the protection of sport, whether directly or indirectly, and to identify the effectiveness and adequacy of what is included in their texts to protect it. It has concluded that most of the general international texts did not include an explicit reference to sport, except in some of them. However, it provides protection implicitly through other stipulated rights, such as the right to education. As for the protection of sport in special international texts, it has explicitly addressed it, as it was concluded specifically for it, and it has addressed many important aspects of sport, such as non-discrimination. And combating doping in the field of sports, and sought in its entirety to provide effective and adequate protection for it that rises to the level of human aspiration and preserves his rights and dignity.
