Abstract

This research paper aims to highlight the role of internet platforms in the educational process, or what has become known as virtual education, especially since its widespread use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, social media platforms have become powerful and effective tools in serving virtual education.

Therefore, this study sheds light on the most prominent positives, contributions, and even drawbacks associated with the use of social media platforms in the educational process. It also aims to identify various platforms available on the internet that have been utilized for educational purposes in various forms, whether academic education, skills training, or governmental education. The virtual school has thus become an essential and fruitful institution, allowing for discussion about the benefits and investment in digital technology in education.
