Abstract

This study aims to build an achievement test of the reference-creterian type, to diagnose the competence in organizing data one of the fields of mathematics, among learners in the second year of middle school. The Rasch model was used to analyze and grade )08( test items. The test was applied to a reconnaissance sample and then to a basic sample Size)250(learners.The results of the analysis showed that the test has evidence of validity and reliability, and that the grading results maintained the number of items and individuals. The test items covered the difficulty range well.and the cut-off score was determined by following the Angoff judging method where it was estimated by a percentage 55%, which is a very reasonable percentage, It can be trusted in classifying learners into two categories, one proficient and the other non-proficient
