The Significance of Empowering Women's Traditional Identity with in the Realm of Food Tourism Anthropological Study

Abstract

The study addresses the significance of empowering women's traditional identity with in the realm of food tourism by exploring how their beliefs and rituals are portrayed. The researche remploys ethnographic measurements by collecting current data from tribal communities residing in the urban area of Kasbah, Ouargla. Data were collecte dusing aparticipatory observation and case study interviews with informants. Based upon sample analysis, the research reached the conclusion that the traditional local food dishes (dishesha, al-makhtouma, al-mardud) represent a fundamental cultural aspect which isintrinsic to female identity.It also reveals the internal development dynamics of the local community. Considering the enduring significance of traditional domesticaffairs in the Ouargla economy, the empowerment mechanism implemented by the State Development Program aims to reinstate the pivotal role of women in fostering sustainable development
