The role of the tertiary sector in the economy of road agglomerations: the case of the city of Sidi Allal El Bahraoui (Province of Khémisset, Moroccco)

Abstract

The city of Sidi Allal El Bahraoui is experiencing an important development in its commercial vocation which is increasingly confirmed thanks to the various commercial entities that exist and are concentrated particularly in the center. In this context, the national road n° 6 plays the most determining role in the attractiveness of the center in relation to the commercial and restaurant activities. The latter are organized around the road and create a commercial dynamic which makes the specificity of Sidi Allal El Bahraoui.

               To this regard, and in order to highlight the different economic activities recorded in this area, we adopted a methodology based on a field study accompanied by a cartographic work (uses of GIS tools).
