Quality Of Life Among Working Mothers And Non-Working And Its Relationship With Children’s Behavioral Problems

A Desriptive-Analytical Study On A Sample Of Students At Primary Schools And Their Mother (

Abstract

      This study aims to investigate the relationship between the quality of life among mothers and their children’s behavioral problems. The study tries also to examine whether this relationship is affected by  mother’s job variable. The descriptive method was used in order to achieve the study objectives. A questionnaire about mother’s quality of life and children’s behavioral problems scale (adapted on the Algerian environment) were applied to a sample of 165 pupils (males and females) studying at primary schools in Sidi Bel Abbas (Algeria), aged between 10 and 13 besides their mothers (in total 330 persons). The study revealed that , there was a negative statistically significant correlation between the children’s scores in behavioral problems and their mother’s scores in quality of life. In addition,this relationship between children’s behavioral problems and their mother’s quality of life was not affected by their mother's job.
