Scientific Issue in the Humanities

Abstract

The aim of the research is to explain the scientific in the human sciences, its limits and the application of the scientific method, in which he talked about the concept of science, the concept of the scientific method and human sciences., the objectives and advantages of science, the difficulties facing the application of science in the human sciences, and the use of the scientific method in the study of sciences The humanities, research methods in the humanities, and the scientific method in the study of the humanities, and the research reached many results, including:

1- Human sciences: they are studies that aim at descriptive and explanatory methodological briefing on human phenomena, such as social sciences, economics, psychology, anthropology and geography.

2- Science has many goals, identified by Van Dalen in three goals: interpretation, control, and prediction.

The scientific method has many advantages, including: accuracy, induction and generalization

3- There are many difficulties facing research in the humanities in the subject of the research, which are difficulties related to man and society: complexity, spontaneity, freedom of will, speed of change, seriousness, comic, and so on.

4- There are many difficulties facing research in the human sciences, which make the judgments issued in them unrealistic, and they are related to the researcher himself, such as passion, sectarian fanaticism, and culture.
