Abstract

Religious poetry is an important type of Algerian poetry, the purpose of which is many times to praise the Prophet. The latter is the most important purpose. It serves as a basis, a starting point and a reference for various other purposes. Algerian poetry derives from Islamic religion its subjects and artistic methods.

In an effort to determine the reality of the poetry of popular prophetic praise in Algeria, this study is based on the analysis of some of the poetic contents of the prophetic praise and on the structure of compositional and semantic structures.
