Abstract

The colonial campaigns targeted the Countries of the Maghreb during the 19th century, including Algeria, which was at the forefront. The aim of these campaigns was to obliterate the national personality and to shade history, which stimulated the growth of nationalism and nationalism in literature in general and poetry in particular, where patriotism prompted poets to keep up with political, social and cultural events, in order to bring together the diaspora members of Algerian society, unite its word, and take the revolutionary position it embodied in what is known as (national poetry), and this research paper tried to highlight Our goal was to raise the problem that resulted in a number of questions, including: What is the meaning of the country and patriotism? What does revolutionary poetry have to do with the country? Did poets serve this trend in their poetry?
