Distance education in the higher education sector in Algeria in light of the Corona pandemic

Résumé

The profound transformations that knowledge societies are witnessing due to the phenomenon of globalization constitute an incentive for countries that strive to secure their ability to compete, to pay attention to a culture of quality in higher education and to invest in high training of human resources. The rapid development in modern information and communication technology has also helped to promote the use of modern technologies in the higher education sector. In order for Algeria to keep pace with these developments, it was necessary to work in accordance with international curricula to reset educational processes by implementing a new educational system known since 2003/2004 with the LMD system. This research paper aims to identify the various technologies used in the higher education sector in Algeria durig   the Corona virus, while determining how distance education can contribute to improving the quality of the higher education sector in Algeria in light of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
